It seems like a lot happens in gardens in the scriptures. They are beautiful places. There is a garden in genesis and another in Revelation. But as beautiful as they are there is a battle going on!
Preachers receiving offerings has been around forever. We see Abraham paying tithes, Moses taking an offering so huge he had to stop them, & Nehemiah raising funds to build the temple to name a few. When Jesus needed to pay taxes he had a fish cough it up. We see Paul raising funds for famine relief of Christians in Jerusalem.
We call this Passover meal the Last Supper but it is actually not an end but a beginning, a tipping point that leads us to the Kingdom. Sunday we will go deeper into this amazing moment and meal with Jesus.
A couple of years ago we preached “canoeing in the Mountains.” Lewis and Clark thought they could basically canoe from St Louis to the Pacific. Upon reaching the Rockies they had to learn how to ride and climb!
Last Sunday we identified and defeated the “boogie-man” in the basement. This week we will look at part two to defeating fear called “Grasshopper.”
We all have fears from when we were kids. Some real, some imagined. Since then we have picked up a few more. What we must realize is that every fear has a “power source” that keeps it alive and real. Be sure to be at Journey this Sunday as expose the Boogie-man in the basement!
Do you ever feel like someone has dropped you - let you down? Left you in Lo-debar? Maybe you know someone who needs a way out or a hand up. Everyone needs a Ziba!
This Sunday we will at last all be together again since COVID hit. It doesn’t just feel good.... it is empowering. Wherever Christians gather, Jesus is there! The greater the unity, the greater the presence and power!
Praise Him when it’s going well, when it’s not, when it’s dark, and when it was you’re fault. God blessed Obededem to provoke David.
